Workers at Ronaldsway Aircraft Company have generously given £37,500 from their salaries to good causes over the years.
The cash from their pay packets has been donated to a wide range of local island based groups.
The company at Ballasalla recently reformed it charity committee which was originally launched in September 1992.
For 2015 the committee decided to make donations of £250 each to the following good causes: IOM Hospice, Rebecca House, Crossroads, Bridge the Gap and Malew Scouts.
The cheques were handed out to representatives from the organisations. The event took place on the last working day before Christmas. It tied in with employees gathering for a hog roast, drinks and carols.
A spokesman said that historically all the company’s new starters were expected to sing. The organisations that were given a boost were all delighted with the gesture from the workers.
The spokesman said charities were selected because of their association with friends and family members of employees and for the recognition of all the hard work and support they offer.
